I made a painting today, and part of yesterday, that just came to me. I know it looks like part of the LGTB marrying rights that happened a few days ago, and I want to say right away that I support the movement, but this painting is not for it. It is simply a painting I did with some random colours because I had an idea in my head and had to get it out.
I just really love the fact that I used canvas paper for this project instead of regular wood/cardboard canvas. It was a neat experience.

So this a piece I did a while an for an art class. I really like it because of the Alice in Wonderland quote. I used some of that weird flower making tissue with an insane amount of crazy glue and some beads. For the red tears, I used a sharpie art technique of sharpies and rubbing alcohol. It was pretty fun, look at the bottom of post for explanations on how to do this. But back to why I love it, I got to use chinese

The bareback trials
Last Thursday I brought my friend to the new stable where I ride at for fun. She also rides horses to, so she decided to ride Western for the first time in three years and I did English for the first 15 minutes until I said screw this and took the saddle off and went bareback. Afterwards we decided to go on a trail ride down t the lake, 20 minutes away.
Since I knew that Chloe liked the water, I didn't put her saddle back on scared it would get wet. So, I went on a trail, bareback that I've never been on before. It all went smooth until it was time to go back up the steep (in my mind) hills we went down. Nervous, I urged her to trot, which ended up in an almost gallop canter, but it was the rush of my life. I'd never done that before.
So that was my story of lets canter uphill bareback for the first time....

Hello!
I'm a Canadian girl from Eastern Passage, in nice old Nova Scotia. I'm interested in many things, all of which you'll see here; riding, art(mixed interest), reading, fandoms, and martial arts.
I've been a horse back rider for the past 5 years, a martial artist for a year in Hapkido and I've always been a nerd. Let's leave it at that.
